I keep using the excuse of wanting to finish up my college degree in business management and being too busy to exercise. Yet I remember a time where I would make plenty of time in my busy schedule to do push-ups and sit-ups at a minimum. A year ago I was doing about 500 push-ups a day and today I can barely do 10. What have I done to let myself get to this point?
It is time to make changes. It is time I start shedding the weight. It is time to start working back in to doing push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups and more. I am going to dust off the jump rope and bike to work on the cardio. I am going to focus on my martial arts training to become the fighter that I have always dreamed of being. It is time to get to a physical level that my 16 year old son is at, which has been my goal for the last 30 years. I have always dreamed of the day that I can be physically fit and have a drive to become physically a better person. I want to be able to keep up with my father who is 77 years old and competes in the Senior Games, locally and nationally. Even my mother is competing at 74 years old. There are times that I cannot even keep up with either of them. It is time for a change.
I am back to bring you on this journey. I will be posting at least weekly to allow you to see my progress which in turn will hold me accountable for my actions or lack of actions. I am going to dedicate myself to becoming the best person that I can be. Please come along for the ride.
